Clayton earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance, from Southern Methodist University in 2004. In 2005, he joined Wachovia Securities as a Financial Advisor with the Dix Fisher Financial Consulting Group. In 2016, Clayton and the Dix Fisher Financial Consulting Group moved to USCA RIA, which later became U.S. Capital Wealth. Clayton completed his Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law), and Series 31 (Futures Managed Funds) examinations as well as earned his licensees for life, accident, variable, and long-term care insurance. Clayton also went beyond the standard examinations for financial advisors and passed his Series 9 and 10 (General Securities Sales Supervisor Qualification) examinations. Clayton then earned the certification of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in 2013, completing a two-year program at Southern Methodist University and passing the required CFP® Board Examination. Clayton is a registered representative of Arax Securities, LLC, a FINRA registered broker-dealer.

Clayton has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce (2010) and is still an active member. He has also served as the President of the Board of Directors for Children First Counseling Center (2016-2019), a non-profit organization based in Grand Prairie that provides counseling services and educational programs for victims of abuse – and remains an active Board Member. He has also served on the City of Grand Prairie’s Planning and Zoning Commission (2018-2021).

Clayton was born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas, and now resides in The Colony with his wife, Lindsey, daughter, Alyssa (age 6) and dog, Murphy.
