James is skilled in providing financial planning and investment advice to individuals and businesses. He serves many successful business owners by not only assisting them with their unique personal finances, but also their business strategy and company retirement plan management. James takes the time to understand the needs of his clients, explores the details, and often partners with specialized estate planning attorneys and accountants to provide holistic solutions. James works closely with his clients in an enjoyable, personalized manner.

James also specializes in family office services for high-net worth individuals, including investment due diligence and advice on complex multi-asset class deals domestically and internationally. He is well-versed at evaluating private equity and real estate investments for the benefit of clients. James is a member of U.S. Capital Wealth Advisors’ Investment Committee and has been instrumental in the development of new business lines, products, and services. 

Prior to joining U.S. Capital Wealth Advisors, James served as an engineer in the oil and gas industry. His experiences at 77 Energy provided him with a unique analytical approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of the energy sector. 

James was born and raised in Austin, he graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. Outside of his time spent serving his clients and the firm, James enjoys rock climbing, running, playing chess, reading, and actively serving his local community through involvement in The Austin Stone and Community First Village.
