W. Douglas Masterson is a Managing Director at U.S. Capital Wealth Advisors in Houston. Doug, along with Steve Hines, form a two-member team that has been together for over two decades.  They bring comprehensive investment experience and knowledge when serving the unique needs of high net worth individuals, accredited investors and corporate clients.

Mr. Masterson has been a private client advisor in the Houston market for over 26 years. Prior to joining U.S. Capital Advisors, Doug worked with high net worth and ultra-high net worth families for Amegy Investments (a wholly owned subsidiary of Amegy Bank of Texas) from 2001 to early 2016.  He worked at JP Morgan Chase in the same role from 1990 to 2001. Doug began his career at Underwood Neuhaus.

Doug has extensive experience with stock option exercises, Rule 144 and 10b5-1 Trading Plans, Fixed Income Ladders, as well as intensive cash management. Doug’s team has managed over $3 billion in qualified settlement funds short term cash investments over the past several years.

Doug obtained his undergraduate degree at University of St. Thomas. Doug is also involved in his family’s privately held company, Bay Houston Towing Company, where he is the secretary, serves as a board member and trustee, and is a shareholder.
